Kenya’s Prime Minster, Raila Odinga, has kindly written the Foreword for Lady Lori’s new book ‘Africa By Air’:

East Africa is vast, and it is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. From the plains of the Mara, Serengeti ecosystem, to the mountains of Kilimanjaro and Kenya, the dramatic cradle of mankind at Lake Turkana, the lakes of the mighty Rift Valley and the equally stunning scenes that our neighbours have to offer too, it’s not only the place that I’m proud to call ‘home’, it’s a place that quite literally continues to take my breath away.

It is with this thought in mind that I am proud to be able to offer a Foreword to a publication which offers such a unique perspective of these people and places that I have grown to love so dearly.

To see Africa from the air is to be able to see the sheer scale of its landscapes and natural wonders. To be lucky enough to travel Africa by air is often the only way to access some of our most fabulous treasures, or to be able to encounter all that we have to offer with a sense of immediacy or proximity that is simply impossible to achieve by any other means.

The photographs in this publication are truly superb, but I would like to extend my invitation to you to visit these places, to meet our remarkable people, to see this wonderful landscape, to encounter the last of the earth’s great concentrations of plains game and the predators that live on them, to come see it for yourself.
